Creating a Securin VI connection​

Using API Key​

To create the connection you need:
  • An User ID
  • An API Key
The API uses a User ID and an API Key to authenticate requests. An API key is generated when you log in to your account management area.

Securin VI Usage Limits​

The API, like other architectures, has specific restrictions on the number of API calls that can be made for a given time period. In addition to fine-grain rate limits, there will be coarse-grain rate limits as well. Each tenant has a limit of 1,000 API calls per day per user license and 5 concurrent API calls.

Creating your connection​

  1. In the Blink platform, navigate to the Connections page > Add connection. A New Connection dialog box opens displaying icons of external service providers available.
  2. Select the Securin VI icon. A dialog box with name of the connection and connection methods appear.
  3. (Optional) Edit the name of the connection. At a later stage you cannot edit the name.
  4. Select API Key as the method to create the connection.
  5. Fill in the parameters:
    • The User ID
    • The API Key
  6. (Optional) Click Test Connection to test it.
  7. Click Create connection. The new connection appears on the Connections page.
