Tenable Security Center gathers security data from across your organization using sources such as: Passive monitoring: Monitoring network traffic and events in real-time provides information on which assets are connected to the internet and how they communicate.
Creating a Tenable Security Center connection
Using Secret Key
To create the connection you need:
- An API Address
- A Secret Key
- An Access Key
Obtaining the credentials
Follow the Tenable Security Center documentation on retrieving your API secret and access keys.
Creating your connection
- In the Blink platform, navigate to the Connections page > Add connection. A New Connection dialog box opens displaying icons of external service providers available.
- Select the Tenable Security Center icon. A dialog box with name of the connection and connection methods appear.
- (Optional) Edit the name of the connection. At a later stage you cannot edit the name.
- Select Secret Key as the method to create the connection.
- Fill in the parameters:
- The API Address
- The Secret Key
- The Access Key
- (Optional) Click Test Connection to test it.
- Click Create connection. The new connection appears on the Connections page.
