Palo Alto Networks NGFW (Next-Generation Firewall) is a security device that goes beyond traditional firewalls by inspecting traffic deeper, analyzing applications and content, and offering features like threat prevention and malware analysis.
Creating a Palo Alto Cloud NGFW connection
Using Assume Role + Key
To create the connection you need:
- An AWS Access Key ID
- An AWS Secret Access Key
- A Role ARN
- A Region
Obtaining the credentials
Please follow Palo Alto's documentation to set up and obtain the credentials for your deployment.
Creating your connection
- In the Blink platform, navigate to the Connections page > Add connection. A New Connection dialog box opens displaying icons of external service providers available.
- Select the Palo Alto Cloud NGFW icon. A dialog box with name of the connection and connection methods appear.
- (Optional) Edit the name of the connection. At a later stage you cannot edit the name.
- Select Assume Role + Key as the method to create the connection.
- Fill in the parameters:
- The AWS Access Key ID
- The AWS Secret Access Key
- The Role ARN
- The Region
- (Optional) Click Test Connection to test it.
- Click Create connection. The new connection appears on the Connections page.
