Entrust Certificate Services
Entrust Certificate Services is a platform for managing digital certificate lifecycles, offering tools for issuance, renewal, and revocation. It provides a central dashboard to manage both Entrust and third-party certificates, improving security and operational efficiency.
Creating an Entrust Certificate Services connection
Using API User Credentials
To create the connection you need:
- A Username
- An API Key
Obtaining the credentials
- Sign in to the Enterprise portal with your super admin credentials.
- Proceed to Administration > Advanced Settings > API section.
- Select Generate Credentials.
- When the dialog window opens, you’ll see these configuration choices:
- (Optional) Add Friendly Name - assign an easily recognizable label to help locate this credential in your dashboard.
- (Optional) Select Certificate - choose which certificate to associate with this API key. Available certificates will include any you previously created (verify using the Tracking ID you documented).
- Click on the Generate button.
- Save the displayed Username and API key.
Creating your connection
- In the Blink platform, navigate to the Connections page > Add connection. A New Connection dialog box opens displaying icons of external service providers available.
- Select the Entrust Certificate Services icon. A dialog box with name of the connection and connection methods appear.
- (Optional) Edit the name of the connection. At a later stage you cannot edit the name.
- Select API User Credentials as the method to create the connection.
- Fill in the parameters:
- The Username
- The API Key
- (Optional) Click Test Connection to test it.
- Click Create connection. The new connection appears on the Connections page.
