Creating an Entrust Certificate Services connection

Using API User Credentials

To create the connection you need:

  • A Username
  • An API Key

Obtaining the credentials

  1. Sign in to the Enterprise portal with your super admin credentials.
  2. Proceed to Administration > Advanced Settings > API section.
  3. Select Generate Credentials.
  4. When the dialog window opens, you’ll see these configuration choices:
    • (Optional) Add Friendly Name - assign an easily recognizable label to help locate this credential in your dashboard.
    • (Optional) Select Certificate - choose which certificate to associate with this API key. Available certificates will include any you previously created (verify using the Tracking ID you documented).
  5. Click on the Generate button.
  6. Save the displayed Username and API key.

Creating your connection

  1. In the Blink platform, navigate to the Connections page > Add connection. A New Connection dialog box opens displaying icons of external service providers available.
  2. Select the Entrust Certificate Services icon. A dialog box with name of the connection and connection methods appear.
  3. (Optional) Edit the name of the connection. At a later stage you cannot edit the name.
  4. Select API User Credentials as the method to create the connection.
  5. Fill in the parameters:
    • The Username
    • The API Key
  6. (Optional) Click Test Connection to test it.
  7. Click Create connection. The new connection appears on the Connections page.
