Creating a BlueCat Address Manager connection

Create the connection by using one of the following methods:

Using Username and Password V2

To create the connection you need:
  • An API Address
  • A Username
  • A Password

Creating your connection

  1. In the Blink platform, navigate to the Connections page > Add connection. A New Connection dialog box opens displaying icons of external service providers available.
  2. Select the BlueCat Address Manager icon. A dialog box with name of the connection and connection methods appear.
  3. (Optional) Edit the name of the connection. At a later stage you cannot edit the name.
  4. Select Username & Password V2 as the method to create the connection.
  5. Fill in the parameters:
    • The API Address
    • The Username
    • The Password
  6. (Optional) Click Test Connection to test it.
  7. Click Create connection. The new connection appears on the Connections page.

Using Username and Password V1

To create the connection you need:
  • An API Address
  • A Username
  • A Password
  • A Timeout Value
  • A Timeout Time Units
Note: The timeout units and value should match the configured timeout that was set to the session in Bluecat IPAM platform. Defaults to 20 minutes.

    • The Username
    • The Password
    • The Timeout Value
    • The Timeout Time Units
  6. (Optional) Click Test Connection to test it.
  7. Click Create connection. The new connection appears on the Connections page.
