Asana is a software company that specializes in the fields of work management, productivity, team goals, and project execution.
Creating an Asana connection
Create the connection by using one of the following methods:
Using OAuth
Creating your connection
- In the Blink platform, navigate to the Connections page > Add connection. A New Connection dialog box opens displaying icons of external service providers available.
- Select the Asana icon. A dialog box with name of the connection and connection methods appear.
- (Optional) Edit the name of the connection. At a later stage you cannot edit the name.
- Click Asana to authenticate using OAuth.
- Sign in using your credentials.
Using Service Account
To create the connection you need:
- A Service Account Token
Obtaining the credentials
- Login to Asana admin console.
- Click the Apps tab.
- Click Service Accounts.
- Click the Add Service Account.
Creating your connection
- In the Blink platform, navigate to the Connections page > Add connection. A New Connection dialog box opens displaying icons of external service providers available.
- Select the Asana icon. A dialog box with name of the connection and connection methods appear.
- (Optional) Edit the name of the connection. At a later stage you cannot edit the name.
- Select Service Account as the method to create the connection.
- Fill in the parameters:
- The Service Account Token
- (Optional) Click Test Connection to test it.
- Click Create connection. The new connection appears on the Connections page.
Using Personal Access Token
To create the connection you need:
- A Personal Access Token
Obtaining the credentials
- Login to Asana developer console.
- Click on Create new token.
- Fill the Create new token form and click Create token.
- Click on Copy to copy the created token to the clipboard.
Creating your connection
- In the Blink platform, navigate to the Connections page > Add connection. A New Connection dialog box opens displaying icons of external service providers available.
- Select the Asana icon. A dialog box with name of the connection and connection methods appear.
- (Optional) Edit the name of the connection. At a later stage you cannot edit the name.
- Select Personal Access Token as the method to create the connection.
- Fill in the parameters:
- The Personal Access Token
- (Optional) Click Test Connection to test it.
- Click Create connection. The new connection appears on the Connections page.
