# Securin VI

> Securin VI is a platform that provides a comprehensive view of their vulnerability landscape. It collects data from various sources, including vulnerability databases, threat feeds, and security researchers, and uses artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) to analyze the data and prioritize vulnerabilities based on their risk.

## Creating a Securin VI connection[](#creating-a-securin-vi-connection "Direct link to Creating a Securin VI connection")

## Using API Key[](#using-api-key "Direct link to Using API Key")

To create the connection you need:

* An User ID
* An API Key

The API uses a `User ID` and an `API Key` to authenticate requests. An API key is generated when you log in to your account management area.

## Securin VI Usage Limits[](#securin-vi-usage-limits "Direct link to Securin VI Usage Limits")

The API, like other architectures, has specific restrictions on the number of API calls that can be made for a given time period. In addition to fine-grain rate limits, there will be coarse-grain rate limits as well. Each tenant has a limit of 1,000 API calls per day per user license and 5 concurrent API calls.
