# Pylon
> Pylon provides a unified B2B support platform that centralizes customer conversations across Slack, Teams, email, and chat. It helps teams automate support workflows, manage customer intelligence, and streamline service delivery at scale.
## Creating a Pylon connection
### Using API Token
To create the connection you need:
* An API Token
#### Obtaining the credentials
**Note:** To create the `API token`, you must have an `Admin` role.
1. In your dashboard, navigate to **Settings**.
2. In the Settings menu, go to **Integrations & dev** → **API tokens**.
3. In the upper-right corner, click **Create**.
4. In the role dropdown, select the appropriate role for the token.
5. Copy your token and store it securely.
#### Creating your connection
1. In the Blink platform, navigate to the **Connections** page > **Add connection**. A New Connection dialog box opens displaying icons of external service providers available.
2. Select the **Pylon** icon. A dialog box with name of the connection and connection methods appear.
3. (Optional) Edit the name of the connection. At a later stage you cannot edit the name.
4. Select **API Token** as the method to create the connection.
5. Fill in the parameters:
* The API Token
6. (Optional) Click **Test Connection** to test it.
7. Click **Create connection**. The new connection appears on the **Connections** page.
