# Update Employee Status
Update the employment status data of an employee.

## Parameters
| Parameter | Description |
| - | - |
| Effective Date | The date at which the status update takes effect. |
| Eligible For Rehire | Select whether the employee is eligible for rehire. |
| Employee ID | The ID of the employee to update. |
| Employee Status | Select the employment status to set for the employee. |
| Employee Status Reason ID | The unique identifier of the employee status reason. Can be obtained from the `Get Legal Entity Status Reasons` action. |
| Is Voluntary By Employee | Select the voluntary status of the employee. |
| Notes | The notes to add to the employee status. |
