# Update Security Rule

Updates an existing security rule.

## Basic Parameters

  | Parameter   | Description                                                                                                      |
  | ----------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
  | Action      | Which action this rule should take when triggered.                                                               |
  | Destination | Comma-separated list of destinations the rule will apply to, or `any` for all of them, or 'any' for all of them. |
  | From Zones  | Comma-separated list of source zone names that the rule will apply to, or 'any' for all of them.                 |
  | Name        | The name of the resource.                                                                                        |
  | Source      | Comma-separated list of sources the rule will apply to, or `any` for all of them, or 'any' for all of them.      |
  | To Zones    | Comma-separated list of destination zone names that the rule will apply to, or 'any' for all of them.            |

  | Applications  | Comma-separated list of application names the rule will apply to, or 'any' for all of them.  |
  | Custom Fields | Any additional custom parameters to apply on the rule.                                       |
  | Location      | Which virtual system or device group to access.                                              |
  | Location Type | The type of location to access.                                                              |
  | Services      | Comma-separated list of service names that the rule will apply to, or 'any' for all of them. |
  | Source Users  | Comma-separated list of source users the rule will apply to, or 'any' for all of them.       |
