# Oracle PeopleSoft

> Oracle PeopleSoft is a suite of business applications owned by Oracle, designed to address complex business needs across various industries.

## Creating an Oracle PeopleSoft connection

### Using Username & Password

To create the connection you need:

* An API Address
* An Operator ID (OPRID)
* A Password

#### Obtaining the credentials

1. **Configure Service Operation Authentication**:
   * Navigate to **Service Operation** settings.
   * Locate the **Req Verification** authentication section.
   * Select `Basic Authentication` from the available options.
2. **Create PeopleSoft User Credentials**:
   * Create a new PeopleSoft **OPRID** (Operator ID).
   * Set a **password** for this operator.
   * Ensure the user has access to the service operation via a permission list.
   * Submit the configuration changes.

#### Creating your connection

1. In the Blink platform, navigate to the **Connections** page > **Add connection**. A New Connection dialog box opens displaying icons of external service providers available.
2. Select the **Oracle PeopleSoft** icon. A dialog box with name of the connection and connection methods appear.
3. (Optional) Edit the name of the connection. At a later stage you cannot edit the name.
4. Select **Username & Password** as the method to create the connection.
5. Fill in the parameters:
   * The API Address
   * The Operator ID (OPRID)
   * The Password
6. (Optional) Click **Test Connection** to test it.
7. Click **Create connection**. The new connection appears on the **Connections** page.
