# Launch Instance

Launches an Oracle Cloud instance.

## Parameters

  | Parameter           | Description                                                                                                                          |
  | ------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
  | Availability Domain | The availability domain to place instances.                                                                                          |
  | Compartment OCID    | The OCID of the compartment.                                                                                                         |
  | Image OCID          | The OCID of the image.                                                                                                               |
  | Shape               | The shape of the instance. The shape determines the number of CPUs, amount of memory, and other resources allocated to the instance. |
  | Subnet OCID         | The OCID of the subnet to create the VNIC in.                                                                                        |
