# Delete User

Deletes a user permanently. This operation can only be performed on users that have a `DEPROVISIONED` status. **This action cannot be recovered!**

## Parameters

  | ---------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------- |
  | Send Email | When checked, notify the user about their account deletion via email. |
  | User ID    | An ID, login, or login shortname of an existing Okta user.            |
