# List Messages Rules

Get all the message rule objects defined for the user's inbox.

* **Least privileged** Microsoft Graph permission to access the action via **application**: `MailboxSettings.Read`.

## Parameters

  | User ID or User Principal Name | The ID or userPrincipalName of the user.<br /><br />If connected via `OAuth`, only the connected user's ID is supported. With `App Registration`, any user ID can be used. |
