# Purge Data

Delete Exchange mailbox items or Microsoft Teams messages contained in an e-Discovery search.

* **Least privileged** Microsoft Graph permission to access the action via **application**: `eDiscovery.ReadWrite.All`.

## Parameters

  | --------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
  | E-Discovery Case ID   | The e-Discovery case ID. Can be obtained by using the `List Cases` action. |
  | E-Discovery Search ID | The e-Discovery search ID.                                                 |
  | Purge Areas           | Option to define the locations to be in scope of the purge action.         |
  | Purge Type            | Options that control whether the action is soft delete or hard delete.     |
