# Rotate Password

> Update a password on a Keeper record.

Installed version `17.1.6`.

Uses `record-update` to set a specific new password on a record, or leave the password empty to auto generate one.

## Parameters

| Parameter    | Description                                                                                                              |
| ------------ | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| Record UID   | The UID or path of the record whose password should be rotated/updated. Can be obtained using the `List Records` action. |
| New Password | The new password to set.                                                                                                 |
