# Scan File

Upload a file to Kaspersky Threat Intelligence Portal for scanning.

Analysis may take several minutes to complete. Use the `Get File Scan Result` action with the returned file hash to retrieve the full report once it's ready.

**Note**: Files larger than 256 MB cannot be scanned.

## Parameters

  | File Identifier | The identifier of the file to scan. You can create a file identifier using the `Set File Variable` action. |
  | File Name | The name of the file being scanned. |
