# Run Record Action

Run a lifecycle action on a specified contract record.

**Required OAuth scope:** `public.records.applyContractAction`

## Parameters

  | Action Type | Select the lifecycle action to run on the contract record. |
  | Properties | The properties of the action, as a JSON object of property IDs and their typed values.<br /><br />**Required** for every action type except `cancelAutoRenewal`.<br /><br />**For example:**<br /><pre><code>\{<br />  "effectiveDate": \{<br />    "type": "date",<br />    "value": "2018-05-08T00:00:00-07:00"<br />  },<br />  "standard\_terminationNoticePeriod": \{<br />    "type": "duration",<br />    "value": "P14D"<br />  }<br />}</code></pre> |
  | Record ID | The ID or Ironclad ID of the record. |
