# Create Smart Import Record To Import

Create a record in an existing import by uploading a file, using smart import to generate predictions for its properties.

**Required OAuth scope:** `public.records.createSmartImportRecords`

## Parameters

  | - | - |
  | File Identifier | The identifier of the file to upload.<br /><br />A file identifier represents a file created or referenced earlier in the workflow.<br /><br />**For example:** by the `Set File Variable` action.<br /><br />For more information, refer to [Blink documentation](https://docs.blinkops.com/docs/workflows/building-workflows/files). |
  | Import ID | The ID of the existing import to upload the record to. You can get import IDs using the `Create Smart Import Record` action. |
  | New Record Type Display Name | The display name of the new record type to create. Must be provided along with `New Record Type ID`. |
  | New Record Type ID | The record type ID of a record type that does not exist yet. Must be provided along with `New Record Type Display Name`. |
  | Record Type | The existing record type to upload the smart import record as. Cannot be provided alongside `New Record Type ID` and `New Record Type Display Name`. |
