# Infobip

> Infobip provides an omnichannel communications platform that enables businesses to connect with their customers through a variety of channels, including SMS, WhatsApp, and voice.

## Creating an Infobip connection

### Using API Key

To create the connection you need:

* An API Key
* An API Address

#### Obtaining the credentials

1. Log in to your Infobip account.
2. Navigate to the API keys section, (once logged in, the credentials should appear on the right side of the main screen).

3. Verify Permissions (immediately above the displayed key, there should be a "Manage API keys" option, click on it).
4. Confirm Scope (within the "Manage API keys" section, review the permissions associated with the presented key to ensure they align with your intended use case).

#### Creating your connection

1. In the Blink platform, navigate to the **Connections** page > **Add connection**. A New Connection dialog box opens displaying icons of external service providers available.
2. Select the **Infobip** icon. A dialog box with name of the connection and connection methods appear.
3. (Optional) Edit the name of the connection. At a later stage you cannot edit the name.
4. Select **API Key** as the method to create the connection.
5. Fill in the parameters:
   * The API Key
   * The API Address
6. (Optional) Click **Test Connection** to test it.
7. Click **Create connection**. The new connection appears on the **Connections** page.
