# Create File

Create new file.

## Basic Parameters

  | Parameter | Description                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                |
  | --------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
  | Drive ID  | ID of the shared drive the file resides in. Only populated for items in shared drives.                                                                                                                                                                                                                     |
  | Name      | The name of the file. This is not necessarily unique within a folder.<br />Note that for immutable items such as the top level folders of shared drives,<br />My Drive root folder, and Application Data folder the name is constant.                                                                      |
  | Parents   | A comma-separated list of parent folder IDs which contain the file.<br />If not specified as part of a create request, the file will be placed directly in the user's My Drive folder.<br />If not specified as part of a copy request, the file will inherit any discoverable parents of the source file. |

  | Delegated User Override | Perform the action on behalf of another user, overriding the delegated user defined in the connection.<br /><br />If not specified, the delegated user is the one provided in the connection.<br /><br />Has no effect when using an OAuth connection.<br /><br />NOTE: the connection details are not edited by this input. |
  | Description             | A short description of the file.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             |
  | MIME Type               | The MIME type of the file.<br /><br />Default value is `application/octet-stream`.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           |
  | Resource Key            | A key needed to access the item via a shared link.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           |
