# Egnyte

> The Egnyte platform provides content security, compliance, and collaboration capabilities to govern content. Egnyte can be used to scan a range of data repositories for malware—including email, on-premises storage, and third-party cloud storage—and block ransomware attacks from spreading.

## Creating an Egnyte connection

Create the connection by using one of the following methods:

#### Creating your connection

1. In the Blink platform, navigate to the **Connections** page > **Add connection**. A New Connection dialog box opens displaying icons of external service providers available.
2. Select the **Egnyte** icon. A dialog box with name of the connection and connection methods appear.
3. (Optional) Edit the name of the connection. At a later stage you cannot edit the name.
4. Click **Egnyte** > fill in your Egnyte API address.
   * You can retrieve the API address directly from the platform URL, for example: https\://\<tenant\_name>.egnyte.com.egnyte.com.
5. Click **Connect** to authenticate using OAuth.
6. Sign in using your credentials.
