# Devo

> Devo is a cybersecurity company that provides cloud-native logging and security analytics for organizations.

## Creating a Devo connection

Create the connection by using one of the following methods:

* [Search Token](#using-search-token)
* [Alerts Token](#using-alerts-token)

### Using Search Token

To create the connection you need:

* A Region
* An API Token

#### Obtaining the credentials

Search API Token: Please follow the instructions on the following [article](https://docs.devo.com/space/latest/94763821/Authentication+tokens) in order to obtain the authentication token. **Make sure you choose the correct Type of the token (Query API).**

#### Creating your connection

1. In the Blink platform, navigate to the **Connections** page > **Add connection**. A New Connection dialog box opens displaying icons of external service providers available.

2. Select the **Devo** icon. A dialog box with name of the connection and connection methods appear.

3. (Optional) Edit the name of the connection. At a later stage you cannot edit the name.

4. Select **Search Token** as the method to create the connection.

5. Fill in the parameters:

   * The Region
   * The API Token

6. (Optional) Click **Test Connection** to test it.

7. Click **Create connection**. The new connection appears on the **Connections** page.

### Using Alerts Token

To create the connection you need:

* A Region
* An API Token

Alerts API Token: Please follow the instructions on the following [article](https://docs.devo.com/space/latest/127762507/Authorizing+Alerts+API+requests) in order to obtain the authentication token. **Make sure you choose the correct Type of the token (Alert API).**

#### Creating your connection

1. In the Blink platform, navigate to the **Connections** page > **Add connection**. A New Connection dialog box opens displaying icons of external service providers available.

2. Select the **Devo** icon. A dialog box with name of the connection and connection methods appear.

3. (Optional) Edit the name of the connection. At a later stage you cannot edit the name.

4. Select **Alerts Token** as the method to create the connection.

5. Fill in the parameters:

   * The Region
   * The API Token

6. (Optional) Click **Test Connection** to test it.

7. Click **Create connection**. The new connection appears on the **Connections** page.
