# Edit Group Permission

Edit a group's permission level.

**Required token**: `Configuration Write Access`.

## Parameters

  | -------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
  | Allowed Search | A [search expression](https://app.scalyr.com/help/query-language). The user that's a member of the team has only access to matching data.<br /><br />For example, "allowedSearch": "serverHost contains "frontend" only gives access to data from the 'frontend' servers. |
  | Group Name     | The name of the group. Group names are not case sensitive.                                                                                                                                                                                                                |
  | Permission     | The group's permission level to update to.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                |
