# Create Or Update A File

Create or update a configuration file.

**Required token**: `Configuration Write Access`.

## Parameters

  | --------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
  | Content   | The file content (JSON). Set to "" to create an empty file. See [dashboard JSON](https://app.scalyr.com/help/dashboards#editingjson) for more on the syntax of a configuration file. |
  | Path      | The path to the file. Can be obtained via the `List Files` action. See [configuration files](https://app.scalyr.com/help/config) for more information.                               |
