# Darktrace

> DarkTrace is an artificial intelligence-powered cybersecurity company that specializes in detecting and responding to advanced cyber threats.

To create the connection you need:

* An API Address
* A Public Key
* A Secret Key

### Obtaining the credentials[​](#obtaining-the-credentials "Direct link to Obtaining the credentials")

#### Global Token[​](#global-token "Direct link to Global Token")

1. On the **Threat Visualizer**, navigate to **System Config** > **Settings**.
2. Click on **API Access** > **New**.

#### User Token[​](#user-token "Direct link to User Token")

1. On the **Threat Visualizer**, navigate to **Main Menu** > **Admin** > **Created Accounts**.
2. Locate the user, and click on the pen icon to edit the user.
3. Scroll down to **Flags** and turn on **API Access**.
4. From the main menu go to **Account settings**.
5. Click on **API Access** > **New**.

### Creating your connection[​](#creating-your-connection "Direct link to Creating your connection")

1. In the Blink platform, navigate to the **Connections** page > **Add connection**. A New Connection dialog box opens displaying icons of external service providers available.

2. Select the **Darktrace** icon. A dialog box with name of the connection and connection methods appear.

3. (Optional) Edit the name of the connection. At a later stage you cannot edit the name.

4. Select **API Token** as the method to create the connection.

5. Fill in the parameters:

   * The API Address
   * The Public Key
   * The Secret Key

6. (Optional) Click **Test Connection** to test it.

7. Click **Create connection**. The new connection appears on the **Connections** page.
