# CyberArk - Privilege Cloud

> CyberArk safeguards privileged access, a critical security concern, by centralizing and managing credentials for privileged accounts.

## Creating a CyberArk - Privilege Cloud connection

### Using Service Account

To create the connection you need:

* An API Address
* An Identity ID
* A Client ID
* A Client Secret

#### Obtaining the credentials

* Follow Step #1 of the [CyberArk documentation](https://api-docs.cyberark.com/docs/ispss-api-auth/2c297daca8a97-api-token-authentication-for-cyber-ark-identity-security-platform-shared-services).
* Your **Client ID** is the login name of the service account you created in step #1.
* Your **Client Secret** is the password of the service account you created in step #1.

#### Creating your connection

1. In the Blink platform, navigate to the **Connections** page > **Add connection**. A New Connection dialog box opens displaying icons of external service providers available.
2. Select the **CyberArk - Privilege Cloud** icon. A dialog box with name of the connection and connection methods appear.
3. (Optional) Edit the name of the connection. At a later stage you cannot edit the name.
4. Select **Service Account** as the method to create the connection.
5. Fill in the parameters:
   * The API Address
   * The Identity ID
   * The Client ID
   * The Client Secret
6. (Optional) Click **Test Connection** to test it.
7. Click **Create connection**. The new connection appears on the **Connections** page.
