# ClickUp

> ClickUp is an all-in-one productivity platform that works as a place for teams to come together, brainstorm, plan, and collaborate on everything from process docs to product designs. While relying on a single tool for so many use cases might sound like a stretch—ClickUp was built for this.

## Creating a ClickUp connection

## Using API Key

To create the connection you need:

* An API Key

### Obtaining the credentials

Generate your personal API token Any ClickUp user, including guests, can generate a personal token.

1. Log into ClickUp.
2. In ClickUp 2.0, click your avatar in the lower-left corner and select Apps. In ClickUp 3.0 , click your avatar in the upper-right corner, select Settings , and scroll down to click Apps in the sidebar.
3. Under API Token, click Generate.
4. You can copy and paste your personal API token wherever you need it!

### Creating your connection

1. In the Blink platform, navigate to the **Connections** page > **Add connection**. A New Connection dialog box opens displaying icons of external service providers available.
2. Select the **ClickUp** icon. A dialog box with name of the connection and connection methods appear.
3. (Optional) Edit the name of the connection. At a later stage you cannot edit the name.
4. Select **API Key** as the method to create the connection.
5. Fill in the parameters:
   * The API Key
6. (Optional) Click **Test Connection** to test it.
7. Click **Create connection**. The new connection appears on the **Connections** page.

## Using OAuth

### Creating your connection

1. In the Blink platform, navigate to the **Connections** page > **Add connection**. A New Connection dialog box opens displaying icons of external service providers available.
2. Select the **ClickUp** icon. A dialog box with name of the connection and connection methods appear.
3. (Optional) Edit the name of the connection. At a later stage you cannot edit the name.
4. Click **ClickUp** to authenticate using OAuth.
5. Sign in using your credentials.
