# Claroty xDome
> Claroty is a cybersecurity firm that provides products and solutions to protect infrastructure and industrial networks from cyber threats.
## Creating a Claroty xDome connection
## Using API Token
To create the connection you need:
* An API Address
* An API Token
### Obtaining the credentials
1. Log in to Claroty xDome's portal.
2. Navigate to **Settings** > **Admin Settings**.
3. On the **User Management** page, click on **+Add User**.
4. Select **API User** and fill in the required details. Provide a unique **username** (make sure you don't insert you Clroty xDome username), select **Roles** and **Site Permissions**. When finished, Click on **Create User**.
5. Once the API user is created, press the **Key** icon to generate the token.
6. Select the **Token Expiration** date and hit **Generate**.
7. Copy the generated token.
### Creating your connection
1. In the Blink platform, navigate to the **Connections** page > **Add connection**. A New Connection dialog box opens displaying icons of external service providers available.
2. Select the **Claroty xDome** icon. A dialog box with name of the connection and connection methods appear.
3. (Optional) Edit the name of the connection. At a later stage you cannot edit the name.
4. Select **API Token** as the method to create the connection.
5. Fill in the parameters:
* The API Address
* The API Token
6. (Optional) Click **Test Connection** to test it.
7. Click **Create connection**. The new connection appears on the **Connections** page.
