# Cisco Meraki

> Cisco Meraki is a cloud-based networking solution that offers a range of network devices and services. It is used for managing and monitoring network infrastructure in a centralized manner.

To create the connection you need:

* An API Key

1. On the left part of the screen, click on **Organization**

2. On the Organization tab, select **Settings**

3. Scroll down to **Dashboard API access** and turn on the *Cisco Meraki Dashboard API*

4. Click on your user at the top right corner.

5. Click on **My profile**

6. Scroll down to **API access** and click on **Generate new API key**

7. Copy your API key.

### Creating your connection[​](#creating-your-connection "Direct link to Creating your connection")

1. In the Blink platform, navigate to the **Connections** page > **Add connection**. A New Connection dialog box opens displaying icons of external service providers available.
2. Select the **Cisco Meraki** icon. A dialog box with name of the connection and connection methods appear.
3. (Optional) Edit the name of the connection. At a later stage you cannot edit the name.
4. Select **API Key** as the method to create the connection.
5. Fill in the parameters:
   * The API Key
6. (Optional) Click **Test Connection** to test it.
7. Click **Create connection**. The new connection appears on the **Connections** page.
