# Box
> Box is a secure, easy-to-use content cloud storage platform built for the entire content lifecycle from file creation and sharing to co-editing, signature, classification, and retention.

To create the connection you need:
* A client ID
* A client secret
* An enterprise ID
### Obtaining the credentials[](#obtaining-the-credentials "Direct link to Obtaining the credentials")
1. Click **Dev Console** at the bottom of the page.
2. Click **Create New App**.
3. Select **Custom App**.

4. Select **Server Authentication (Client Credentials Grant)**, enter you app name and click **Create App**.
5. Click **Fetch Client Secret**.
6. Change the scopes based on the permissions you want to include in your connection.
### Creating your connection[](#creating-your-connection "Direct link to Creating your connection")
1. In the Blink platform, navigate to the **Connections** page > **Add connection**. A New Connection dialog box opens displaying icons of external service providers available.
2. Select the **Box** icon. A dialog box with name of the connection and connection methods appears.
3. (Optional) Edit the name of the connection. At a later stage you cannot edit the name.
4. Select **Client Secret** as the method to create the connection.
5. Fill in the parameters:
* The client ID
* The client secret
* The enterprise ID
6. (Optional) Click **Test Connection** to test it.
7. Click **Create connection**. The new connection appears on the **Connections** page.
