# IAM Add User To Group

Adds the specified user to the specified group.

## Basic Parameters

  | ------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
  | AWS Region(s) | Enter the desired AWS Region(s).<br /><br />To execute the action in multiple regions, provide a comma-separated list.<br />For example: `us-east-1,eu-west-2`.<br /><br />If you wish to run the action in all available regions, use the asterisk symbol (`*`) instead.                          |
  | Group Name    | The name of the group to update.<br /><br />This parameter allows (through its [regex pattern](http://wikipedia.org/wiki/regex)) a string of characters consisting of upper and lowercase alphanumeric characters with no spaces. You can also include any of the following characters: \_+=,.\@-. |
  | User Name     | The name of the user to add.<br /><br />This parameter allows (through its [regex pattern](http://wikipedia.org/wiki/regex)) a string of characters consisting of upper and lowercase alphanumeric characters with no spaces. You can also include any of the following characters: \_+=,.\@-.     |
