# Armis Centrix

> Armis Centrix is a cybersecurity platform designed for managing cyber exposure and providing comprehensive visibility and control over all connected assets, including IT, OT, IoT, and IoMT devices.

## Creating an Armis Centrix connection

### Using API Key

To create the connection you need:

* An Armis Instance Name
* An API Secret Key

#### Obtaining the credentials

1. Copy your **Armis instance name** from your Armis URL: `https://<instance-name>.armis.com`.
   (e.g., if your URL is `https://mycompany.armis.com`, your instance name is `mycompany`).
2. In the Armis console, navigate to **Settings** > **API Management**.
3. If no secret key exists, click **Create** to generate one.
4. Click **Show** to reveal your secret key.

5. Copy the displayed **secret key** and store it securely.

#### Creating your connection

1. In the Blink platform, navigate to the **Connections** page > **Add connection**. A New Connection dialog box opens displaying icons of external service providers available.
2. Select the **Armis Centrix** icon. A dialog box with name of the connection and connection methods appear.
3. (Optional) Edit the name of the connection. At a later stage you cannot edit the name.
4. Select **API Key** as the method to create the connection.
5. Fill in the parameters:
   * The Armis Instance Name
   * The API Secret Key
6. (Optional) Click **Test Connection** to test it.
7. Click **Create connection**. The new connection appears on the **Connections** page.
