# Anodot

> Anodot detects and groups anomalies across silos to help you find and fix business incidents in real-time.

## Creating an Anodot connection

Create the connection by using one of the following methods:

* [Username & Password with Specified User](#using-username-and-password-with-specified-user)
* [Username & Password](#using-username-and-password)
* [UM 2.0](#using-um-20)

### Using Username & Password with Specified User

To create the connection you need:

* A Username
* A Password
* An Account Key
* A Division ID

#### Obtaining the credentials

Follow [Anodot's documentation](https://support.anodot.com/hc/en-us/articles/360002631114-Token-Management) on how to obtain your account key.

#### Creating your connection

1. In the Blink platform, navigate to the **Connections** page > **Add connection**. A New Connection dialog box opens displaying icons of external service providers available.
2. Select the **Anodot** icon. A dialog box with name of the connection and connection methods appear.
3. (Optional) Edit the name of the connection. At a later stage you cannot edit the name.
4. Select **Username & Password with Specified User** as the method to create the connection.
5. Fill in the parameters:
   * The Username
   * The Password
   * The Account Key
   * The Division ID
6. (Optional) Click **Test Connection** to test it.
7. Click **Create connection**. The new connection appears on the **Connections** page.

### Using Username & Password

To create the connection you need:

* A Cost Center ID (optional)
