# Alert Logic

> Alert Logic is an AI-powered cybersecurity company that provides comprehensive security solutions to businesses of all sizes.

## Creating an Alert Logic connection

Create the connection by using one of the following methods:

* [API Key](#using-api-key)
* [Username & Password](#using-username-and-password)

### Using API Key

To create the connection you need:

* An API Address
* A Key ID
* A Key Secret

#### Obtaining the credentials

1. In the Alert Logic menu, click **Manage** > **Users**.
2. Scroll to the desired user account and click **View**.
3. In the account information slideout panel, click the **Access Keys** tab.
4. In the **Access Keys** tab, click **Generate New Key**.
5. From the Access Key Created window copy your api key information.

#### Creating your connection

1. In the Blink platform, navigate to the **Connections** page > **Add connection**. A New Connection dialog box opens displaying icons of external service providers available.

2. Select the **Alert Logic** icon. A dialog box with name of the connection and connection methods appear.

3. (Optional) Edit the name of the connection. At a later stage you cannot edit the name.

4. Select **API Key** as the method to create the connection.

5. Fill in the parameters:

   * The API Address
   * The Key ID
   * The Key Secret

6. (Optional) Click **Test Connection** to test it.

7. Click **Create connection**. The new connection appears on the **Connections** page.

### Using Username and Password

To create the connection you need:

* An API Address
* A Username
* A Password

#### Creating your connection

1. In the Blink platform, navigate to the **Connections** page > **Add connection**. A New Connection dialog box opens displaying icons of external service providers available.

2. Select the **Alert Logic** icon. A dialog box with name of the connection and connection methods appear.

3. (Optional) Edit the name of the connection. At a later stage you cannot edit the name.

4. Select **Username & Password** as the method to create the connection.

5. Fill in the parameters:

   * The API Address
   * The Username
   * The Password

6. (Optional) Click **Test Connection** to test it.

7. Click **Create connection**. The new connection appears on the **Connections** page.
